About
I’m a PhD Candidate at the University of Warwick Centre for the Study of the Renaissance, and my doctoral project investigates the development of ecclesiastical parody in Latin and Middle French from the 13th to the 16th centuries. In my research I focus on the transition from Latin to the vernacular and analyse the development of religious parody.
I got my MA from the University of York in 2021 and am currently receiving Chancellor’s International Scholarship from the University of Warwick Doctoral College. I have been teaching Beginners’ Latin for Researchers in the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance since 2023 and in 2024 joined the Classics department to assist in teaching their Latin I course.
Research interests
My research interests include (but are not limited to) medieval and Renaissance comedy, literary parody and satire in Latin and Middle French, humour in hagiography and sermons. I am also interested in Latin, French and English medieval palaeography as well as exploring the possibilities of AI-driven methods in editing ancient texts.
I am also passionate about teaching and mainly focus on providing research-based education accessible to various groups of students with different academic backgrounds.
