Careers

What steps can I take to organise what happens after I graduate?

You can use the services of the Student Opportunity site regardless of whether you have no idea what you want to do when you finish studying and want to start thinking about it, or whether you already have a clear idea of what happens next.

The Student Opportunity Centre is based at the Learning Grid on the ground floor of University House. Details of most of the services available and how to book them are on My Advantage. This includes faculty based career appointments, central workshops on a wide range of careers issues, career fairs and employer visits. and more. You can also visit us (there will be someone available to assist you from 10.00 to 18.00, and 12.00 to 16.00 outside of term), e-mail careers@warwick.ac.uk or phone 024 7652 4748.

Although it is certainly the case that people do embark on work and careers in unexpected ways, the chances of sustained success are increased for people who have a good idea of what they have to offer an employer, how this links with what is out there and how to find it.
