Please select the required modules for your course as follows:
Classics Q800: Must take Latin AND/OR Greek (depending on entry level) all year at appropriate level. If you have done A-level Greek and/or Latin then you have to take Greek or Latin Literary Texts and the other language at the appropriate level. If you have no Ancient Languages you will start with levels 1 and 2 for one language and do the other language in year 2. In addition you need to select 2 other modules from Term 1 and 2 modules from Term 2:
Classics (Latin) with Study in Europe: Must take Latin Literary Texts and a modern European language (Italian/German) and a choice of 4 (equally split between Terms 1 and 2) from below:
Classical Civilisation: Must take Greek Culture and Society and Roman Culture and Society plus:
2 more modules from Term 1:
4 more modules from Terms 2/3:
Ancient History and Classical Archaeology: Must take Introduction to Greek and Roman History and Encounters with Material Culture plus:
A further 3 modules in Term 1:
and a further 2 modules in Term 2:
Classics and English:
Classics Dept: Must take Greek or Latin Literary Texts plus one module in Term 1 and one module in Term 2:
English Dept: Must take Modes of Reading plus either Epic into Novel OR Medieval and Early Modern English Literature
English and Classical Civilisation: Must take Modes of Reading plus 30 CATS from both English and Classics departments
