Postgraduate Degrees
We run both Taught and Research Postgraduate Degrees:
Taught courses
MA in Ancient Visual and Material Culture
MA in the Visual and Material Culture of Ancient Rome (new from 2008)
Research degrees:
Masters by Research (40,000 words dissertation; 1 year full-time; 2 years part-time)
MPhil (60,000 word dissertation, 2 years full-time; 4 years part-time)
PhD (80,000 word thesis; 3 years full-time, 5 years part-time)
ADVICE TO APPLICANTS
We welcome applications from applicants with a proven academic record, usually at least a 2-1 in an undergraduate degree in Classics, Ancient History or a related area.
When applying for a research degree you will be asked to provide an outline of your chosen research topic. In order to see whether this falls within our areas of expertise, please see details of our research interests.
