Why Study Classics at University?

This page is under construction

The ancient Classical world is not just a fascinating time period to spend some time learning about at GCSE and A-level, but is a respected field of study at degree level and beyond. Here at the WCN we are currently working together with ACE and Classics for All to provide data on the diverse and exciting careers those studying Classical subjects at university go on to do. As an intellectually challenging area, study of the Classical world is widely respected among post-university employers, and the transferable skills acquired through learning Classics at university - such as critical thinking, the use and evaluation of different source materials, self-expression and written and oral-communication - will be of great use whatever path your eventual career takes.
