Guardian newspaper 2016 league table success for Modern Languages and Cultures at Warwick

Modern Languages as a whole at Warwick have been ranked 9th in the UK in the latest Guardian UK newspaper University league tables published today 26th May 2015.

The University of Warwick was ranked 6th overall (up three places from last year’s Guardian table position), making it once again the top University in the West Midlands.

Twelve other Departments at Warwick were ranked by the Guardian in the top ten in the UK, including many that can be studied with Languages as part of a joint degree:

•Warwick Business School (WBS) 1st for Accounting 2nd for Business

•Economics 2nd

•Mathematics Institute 2nd

•Classics and Ancient History 4th

•Film and Television Studies 4th

•Sociology 4th

•Theatre, Performance and Cultural Policy Studies 4th

•Chemistry 5th

•History of Art 5th

•Politics and International Studies 5th

•History 8th

•School of Modern Languages and Cultures 9th

•Engineering 10th

Commenting on the results, the Head of School Professor Seán Hand, said: ‘This latest Guardian table confirms the quality and reputation of what we offer in all our languages. Combined with our research rankings and the flexible nature of our joint degrees, we can offer all our students a quality-assured and top-ranking programme of study.’
