Postgraduate study

As a postgraduate student in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures, you'll be part of a buoyant community comprising researchers of national and international renown. The Sunday Times nominated Warwick as University of the Year 2015. More specifically, in the REF (Research Excellence Framework) 2014, our research outputs were ranked 5th in the UK, with 79.7% of our work ranked at 4* or 3*. In the global context, Modern Languages at Warwick are collectively ranked 24th in the world (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2014).

Modern Languages students have exclusive access to the Transnational Resources Centre, which houses a large DVD library, live and recorded satellite tv broadcasts, a cinema room and study room. Also, The Language Centre provides extra language provision and teaches 11 main languages to students across the University.

You'll also benefit from Warwick's strength in research in related areas such as English and Comparative Literary Studies, the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance, Caribbean Studies and Global History and Culture. With membership of CADRE, the Centre for Arts Doctoral Research Excellence (for research postgraduates), the Warwick Graduate School, postgraduate skills programmes run by Student Careers and Skills and facilities in the Institute of Advanced Study and Humanities Research Centre, you'll develop your academic, personal and professional skills.
