Warwick graduate’s film on mental health a contender for Arts Convergences Prize

Recent Warwick graduate and filmmaker Dorothy Allen-Pickard’s short film called ‘THE MESS’ (‘Le Désordre’) about bipolar disorder is a contender for the Arts Convergences prize for videos on the theme of mental health. ‘THE MESS’ follows Ellice’s experiences of living with bipolar disorder: as Ellice gets low, her room gets messier. You can vote for Dorothy’s film at this page, where you can also view the film and see the other contenders for the prize.

Dorothy’s work has previously featured at international festivals and on BBC3 and Channel 4. Since graduating from Warwick, Dorothy has also won a number of prizes including The Guardian documentary award and Total Theatre Awards.
