SMLC Research Seminar

On Wednesday, 25th January, we will have this year’s first event in the SMLC Lunch-Time Seminars.

Nick Hewlett and Oliver Davis (French) have agreed to give two papers on the topic: 'Policing Mai 68: theories, techniques, legacy’.
Please join us for this very interesting event.

Congratulations to Dr Sophie Stevens, Teaching Fellow in Hispanic Studies, on the award of her PhD!

Sophie has just successfully defended her PhD on Uruguayan Theatre in Translation: Performability, Mobility and Intercultural Dialogue at King's College London. Congratulations, Dr Stevens!

New TRC Opening times

The TRC Resources Room H0.81 is now open from 8.00am until 11.00pm Monday to Friday to all students registered to a module in the SMLC

If you are travelling in the affected area, please follow the advice of the local authorities. Civil Protection have activated a hotline 800840840 for information. To learn more what to do before, during, and after an earthquake visit the Protezione Civile website (http://www.protezionecivile.gov.it/jcms/en/rischio_sismico.wp).

If you have been affected in any way, please email the Year Abroad Coordinator in Italian (m.milani@warwick.ac.uk). The counselling support is also available (counselling@warwick.ac.uk).

Update to Munich shootings

This morning 23rd July we are very pleased to say that all our students in Munich would appear to be safe. Munich police have given a cautious all-clear, and public transport has reopened. Any student can contact the German Year Abroad team in the usual way, by email, and our counselling support is available (counselling@warwick.ac.uk).
