Prof. Gundle will talk about Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren at 80 on Woman's Hour on Radio Four. Woman's Hour begins at 10.02am.
Times University Guide 2015 ranks us no.1 in the country for Communication and Media Studies
In the Times and Sunday Times ‘Good University Guide 2015’ our department was once again rated the top department for Communication and Media Studies. The 2015 guide also named Warwick as the University of the Year. One of the oldest Film and Television Studies departments in the UK, Warwick has remained one of the best. Congratulations to Dr. Claire Jenkins
The department would like to congratulate Claire Jenkins (PhD Film and Television Studies, 2010), who has just taken up the position of Lecturer in the Department of History of Art and Film at Leicester University. Claire's thesis has also been revised for publication. Home Movies: The American Family in Contemporary Hollywood Film will soon appear with I.B. Tauris.

Dr Phillips writes on Dassin's Naked City for new Blu-Ray
Alastair Phillips's new essay, ‘Just Close Enough: Jules Dassin’s Naked City’, accompanies Arrow Films's October release of Naked City on Blu-Ray . He is also the author of an essay for their Blu-Ray edition of Dassin’s Rififi and a definitive book on Rififi published by IB Tauris.
