Film as Film Today: Accommodation and Travel

Accommodation / Conference dinner

You can book accommodation for one or two nights (3 and/or 4 September), as well as attendence at the conference dinner, here. The on-campus accommodation is at Jack Martin, and costs £60 per night for bed and breakfast. The conference dinner will take place on campus on Tuesday 4 September, and costs £37.75 for a 3 course set menu.

Important note: If you require accommodation for Wednesday 5 September, please see the list of nearby hotels here, or you can search via various UK hotel sites, such as booking.com, expedia.co.uk, or trivago.co.uk. The day's events on Wednesday will finish at approximately 6.30pm.

Location

The symposium will be taking place on the main University of Warwick campus, in the Humanities building. See the Humanities building on Google Maps here; you can also find an interactive campus map here.

If you haven’t visited the campus before, please note that the University isn't actually located in Warwick but rather Coventry, which is also the closest train station. Directions to the University, by car or public transport, can be found here. Trains from London to Coventry are regular, and run from London Euston. The best site for checking train times/booking in advance is nationalrail.co.uk.

Travelling from abroad

The closest airport to Coventry is Birmingham. However, if flights from your country do not fly into Birmingham, Heathrow is the London airport with the quickest journey to and from Coventry. Again, the best site for checking train times/booking in advance is nationalrail.co.uk.
