The Library is available 24 hours for all students to use as needed. You can find a huge variety of resources, both online and in-person. All your required course reading will be available from the library.

Email: both the University and the department will communicate with you on your new Warwick email address (available once you've completed your enrolment).Make sure you check this account regularly!

MYWARWICK: you will have your own personalised 'My Warwick' account. This is where you'll be able to access your university emails, timetable, campus information and much more.

Tabula: an online system you will use to see your coursework deadlines, electronically submit assignments and download marking feedback. Full details and support will be provided once you arrive.

Moodle: Moodle is the virtual learning environment that the university uses. All modules have their own moodle space. You can also find general information and important announcements on the Moodle Film and Television Studies Hub (available upon enrolment):

Your course timetable will be available by the beginning of Week 1 of the Autumn term.

The PG Student Handbook will be available on Moodle during Welcome Week. We'll talk through what this covers for both MA and PhD students at the Induction day, where you'll also have the opportunity to ask questions.

Who is my Personal Tutor?

• Each student is allocated a Personal Tutor at Warwick. Usually, this is a member of the academic staff in your department.
• [Include details of how students will find out who their personal tutor is - e.g. via Tabula or during Welcome Week]

What is their role?

• Your Personal Tutor is your first point of contact within the department to discuss any issues that arise, whether pastoral or academic.
• You can draw on their experience and expertise as and when you need – they are your ongoing individual face-to-face relationship within the department and are here to support you throughout your time at Warwick.
• They are also the most obvious person to provide references for you after you graduate, so it is worthwhile investing time into developing a strong working relationship.

When and how will we meet?

• ·You will meet with your personal tutor in person during Welcome Week. Your personal tutor will also contact you (via your Warwick email or your Tabula timetable) to arrange an individual meeting in the first few weeks of the Autumn Term.

• You may request additional meetings as and when you need them.

The Senior Tutor in Film and Television Studies oversees the personal tutor system. The current Senior Tutor is Dr Alice Pember

Dr Rick Wallace is Director of Film and Television Studies. He is also the Director of Student Experience and Progression for the Autumn Term.

Professor Tiago de Luca is the Director of Graduate Studies for PhD students.

Dr Ritika Kaushik is the Director of Graduate Studies for MA students.

The Postgraduate Programmes Office deals with the administration of your postgraduate degree.

If you have any questions not covered during Welcome Week, please drop by the office on Floor 2 of the Faculty of Arts Building (room 2.50).

In the SCAPVC (School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures) office, the Programme Officer who helps to administrate our postgraduate courses is Monica Dinu. SSLC stands for Student-Staff Liaison Committee. There are SSLCs in each department in the University that feed into both the Students' Union and the University administration.

SSLCs are committees made up of elected student representatives and members of staff. They are student-led and provide an area for students and staff to discuss ideas and solve problems connected with teaching, learning and student support.

If you are interested in putting yourself forward as a SSLC Representative, please speak to or email Professor Tiago de Luca and Dr Ritika Kaushik (email addresses above). If you have questions about the running of the SSLC, you should speak with the SSLC Chair.
