Current PhD student

Biography

I am currently in my first year as a PhD student in Global Sustainable Development at the School of Cross-Faculty Studies at the University of Warwick Faculty of Arts. The Doctoral College at the University of Warwick has awarded me a Chancellor's International ScholarshipLink opens in a new window to research the intersection of climate change, forced migration, and human trafficking vulnerabilities in Kenya. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master’s degree in Conflict Prevention & Dispute Resolution. I am an educator with 8 years of experience in justice, gender, and human rights, with certification in Instructional Design.


Research Overview

My research examines how environmental factors, such as climate-induced displacement, exacerbate risks of exploitation, particularly human trafficking, and how these vulnerabilities differ across gender lines.
