Speaker: Ares (they)

For Trans Awareness Week, we are hosting a talk about a trans-led and trans-focused project that took place last academic year.

In Term 2, 2022, Warwick Pride ran the first iteration of a Gender Expression Fund at the University of Warwick. It was a community-led fund that transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming students could use to buy up to £50 of gender-affirming items. It was funded by the Warwick Innovation Fund, and the Students' Union helped with logistics.

This talk, given by the lead of the Gender Expression Fund, will talk about the motivation behind the fund, how it worked in practise, and the outcomes for students who applied to it. There will be plenty of time for Q&A after the talk!

We are currently looking for funding to continue this project in this and future academic years, and we welcome anyone interested in its future to come along and hear more about it.

Everyone is welcome to join! If you think your friends or colleagues would be interested in this talk, please forward the details onto them - the more the merrier!

If you would like to attend the talk, please RSVP here.
