2025/2026 Funding Call Guidance

The overarching aim of the 2025/26 funding call is to promote student engagement in the curriculum through curiosity, motivation and ownership, in alignment with the priorities of the Warwick Education and Student Experience Strategy.

For Strategic and Seed Fund projects:

To support the overarching aim, we invite strategic and seed fund proposals that address one or more of the following areas:

  • Authentic assessment - focussed on practices that are inclusive, engaging, and uphold academic integrity.
  • Marking and Feedback Practices - designed to help students improve their work and foster meaningful engagement.
  • Collaboration in teaching and learning - including peer-to-peer learning, staff–student partnerships, and cross-disciplinary collaboration (spanning multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches).
  • Employability in the curriculum - embedding real-world application and supporting students to translate their learning into the workplace.

For Seed Fund projects *only*:

  • In addition to the above, seed fund projects could also address resilient education systems, that can adapt to crisis and disruption while maintaining and promoting student engagement.

Applications will need to clearly explain:

  • how the proposed project would address the strategic priority or priorities
  • what impact the project would have on delivering an excellent educational experience for Warwick students
  • how project outcomes would be embedded, sustained and scaled up
  • how the proposed project engages with existing activity at Warwick that is relevant to the proposed project area.

Since the Fund’s purpose is to support Warwick's strategic priorities, all projects must involve collaboration between at least two academic and/or central service departments. Collaborations with external institutions/partners is not permitted. Successful projects will engage with the Warwick Education Conference.
