Summary
LoCoR is a two-year project aimed at co-developing and piloting a new model of project-based teaching that empowers students from different years and disciplines to engage in long-term, collective and interdisciplinary research. This model will offer students an option to build their projects upon completed student research such as dissertations and student-led projects, thereby fostering research continuity and communities.
The model is being piloted across various modules at departments at Warwick, including
- GD307, GSD Dissertation, School for Cross-Faculty Studies
- WM195, Smart Solutions Development, WMG
- ES327, Individual Project - School of Engineering
- Dissertation Module, WMS.
Once validated, this innovative educational practice will be scaled to other departments and universities, contributing to curriculum design for research-led education, transforming project-based learning, and demonstrating Warwick’s leadership in Higher Education.
We warmly invite new partners who lead project-based learning or teaching modules to join the LoCoR initiative and help to build our growing community.
