POSTPONED

The uses and expectations of technology in education have perhaps changed as much in the last ten weeks as they have in the last ten years, and we are in the midst of a period of rapid learning and adjustment. Therefore, now more than ever it is valuable for us to consider the relationship between teaching, learning and technology.

 

Join us for this interactive online conversation as we discuss our learning and practices during this sudden move to online life, how we might take that learning into future learning environments and classrooms, and how we can support each other and share practice in this period of rapid change. We will critically explore the role of technology in our teaching and learning in this new landscape and consider how, as educators and learners, we can engage with technology so that it better supports (rather than governs) our pedagogic intentions and practices. This will be a supportive and exploratory event in which we can discuss what we have learned from both our successes and failures, as well as how we can incorporate that learning into the future of higher education.

International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) 2019

The seventh annual International Conference of Undergraduate Research took place at Warwick on 24th and 25th September in the Oculus building, linked to simultaneous events at nine institutions across five continents.

5th Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching Conference hosted by IATL

The 5th Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching Conference will take place on the 2nd of April 2020 at the University of Warwick. It will explore a variety of issues in the theme of 'Interdisciplinarity: Learning from Each Other'.

This year’s conference theme asks participants to consider the elements of collaboration, co-construction of knowledge and practice that underpin the interdisciplinary teaching and learning experiences of students and teachers.

WIHEA Masterclass: Wellbeing in the Teaching & Learning Environment Pedagogies and Strategies for the Classroom and Beyond

In this Masterclass on Wellbeing Pedagogies and Strategies, our own Dr Elena Riva will share her understanding and ideas about how to foster positive Wellbeing in the Teaching and Learning environment for both students and staff. These will be drawn from her pedagogic research about students’ Wellbeing in educational settings as well as practice, including her experience of devising and delivering the module ‘Understanding Wellbeing’.

An IATL and Feminist Dissent Web Seminar - 8th of May

The seminar is open to all University of Warwick students. Registered students will receive a certificate of participation. Places are limited. Please register to secure a place here.

This is the second of two interdisciplinary pilot seminars that draws its inspiration from the Warwick-based online peer-reviewed journal called Feminist Dissent. The module’s focus is to develop an understanding of a worldwide proliferation of fundamentalist religious movements and the global rise of conservative and racist populist movements taking place in the context of the ongoing crises of capitalism and resources.

Feminist Dissent: Theory, Practice and Resistance- Wed 5th December

Racism, feminism and the politics of fundamentalism in Britain is the first of two interdisciplinary pilot webinars that draws its inspiration from the Warwick-based online peer-reviewed journal called Feminist Dissent. Pragna Patel of Southall Black Sisters will lead the seminar which is open to all University of Warwick students.

ICUR 2018- Call for Abstracts- Deadline 31st May

The sixth annual International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) will be held on 25 & 26 September 2018 and is open to undergraduate researchers from any discipline. Submit your abstract of 250 words for the chance to present to an audience around the world.
