Sherril Dixon

Analytical Science and Instrumentation 2022-2023

"The level of support and encouragement from both the academic and administrative staff alongside your cohort's is an invaluable part of this MSc AS&I course, which stretches the mind and any preconceived limitations.

The structure of the course allows for diversification and freedom to follow an area of interest in the second half whilst utilising the skills and knowledge gained in the first. The access to a wide variety of instruments is offered under the enthusiasm of proactive specialists.

This course certainly took me to places both geographically and mentally that I would never have imagined and the skills I have gained have been invaluable going forward.

The cohort-based learning style, guest lectures, and research seminars throughout the year really fuel curiosity and innovative thinking. I loved the encouraging and supportive atmosphere within the department. Doing the final project as a member of one of Warwick’s research groups truly helps you grow as a professional, training you for the world of modern research. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in R&D in analytical science."
