What were you doing before you started your studies at Warwick?

Analytical Chemistry and Forensic Science Undergraduate Course at Coventry University.

Why did you choose to study at Warwick? What were your first impressions?

I wanted to focus more on the analytical part of my degree and I wished to study a few additional techniques that were not covered in my undergraduate degree. Thus, the course chosen had everything that I was looking for. I was very impressed with the university campus and all the opportunities offered.

What was your favourite module?

I actually have 2 modules that I really enjoyed: CH915-Principles and techniques in qualitative and quantitative analysis and CH914-Electrochemistry and Sensors. The main aspects that I liked: the practical laboratory work along with the lab reports, the workshops, and the overall structure of the modules. [And also], My final Research Project

What was the standout facility for you?

TL3 - the lab technicians in the teaching laboratories were always very helpful.

What are you doing now? How has your experience at Warwick helped?

[I have] continued on to do a PhD (PhD in Molecular Analytical Science) within the same group in which I conducted my final research project. It expanded my network and I was given the chance to work with an industry partner.

What would you say to a prospective student?

Good choice. Take advantage of all the help and support provided by the different departments and expand your network as you never know what kind of opportunities will arise.
