Parliament for Researchers Workshop 27 February 2020
Wolfson Research Exchange

When: Thursday 27th February 2020, 13.30-16.00 (lunch from 13.00)

Who: All Research Staff

What: This workshop gives an overview of the UK Parliament and how Parliament uses research, and covers ways to work with the institution including details on Select Committees, legislative scrutiny, the House of Commons and House of Lords libraries, and POST. It also includes discussion of how to communicate research in a policy context. The session will be interactive and practical. You will leave with an understanding of how research is used in the UK Parliament, and able to identify opportunities to feed your research into Parliament’s work. This training is delivered by UK Parliament’s Knowledge Exchange unit.

Chemistry Department UG Admissions Day

All UCAS offer holders will be invited to attend one of our Admissions Days which provide a more tailored, in-depth experience of life at Warwick Chemistry for those who have already applied. You will be given a tour of the Department and University Campus, including Halls of Residence, and have the opportunity to chat to some of our current undergraduates. Our academic staff will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have about our courses, the university, etc.
