Liddicoat Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Mineralogy, Materials Science and Gemology at the Gemological Institute of America

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) invites qualified candidates to apply for the Richard T. Liddicoat Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at its Carlsbad, California and New York City locations. The one-to-two year fellowships encourage early career scientists to pursue full-time academic research into fundamental scientific problems in gemstone geology, defect physics and diamond synthesis; and other fields related to gemology. Dr Ben Green wins Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship

Ben Green who has been working at Warwick as a Research Fellow in the Networked Quantum Information Technologies (NQIT) quantum hub and developing quantum computing nodes based on optical-cavity-enhanced colour centres in diamond, has won a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship to be held at Warwick. These highly prestigious five-year Research Fellowships are designed to promote excellence by providing support for high-quality candidates to become future research leaders.
