I anticipate an opening for a postdoc starting this fall on a project exploring new approaches chemical detection and chemical imaging using shallow Nv centers in single-crystal diamond.

The grant is a collaboration between myself (a chemist), 2 physicists (Prof. Mark Eriksson and Prof. Susan Coppersmith), and an electrical engineer (Prof. Mikhail Kats). The ideal candidate would have a strong background in optics (ideally custom-built optics) and instrumentation, and an interest in collaborating with students and faculty with complementary expertise in diamond surface chemistry and surface functionalization, nanofabrication, and meta-optics on a team-based project funded by the US National Science Foundation.

All research is to be carried out at the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, WI.
