WaDeCoP Meeting
On Monday 3rd March, WaDeCoP held its second meeting.
It focused on strengthening research collaborations, joining international research alliances, and planning upcoming events. Members discussed interdisciplinary research opportunities and the need for better internal communication, leading to the creation of a mailing list. The possibility of joining ARUA and The Guild was explored to enhance funding and networking. Plans for the World Water Day event with Monash University were finalized, including research presentations and networking opportunities. Student engagement in water-related projects was emphasized, with efforts to secure funding for internships. A collaboration with Makerere University on smart irrigation technology was introduced, integrating AI and wireless technology. The meeting also covered the Monash-Warwick Water event logistics, sustainability initiatives on campus, and potential funding sources.
