Curriculum Development Workshop - Indonesia 27-30th August
At the end of August partners from Indonesia, the UK and Greece met at Institut Teknologi in Bandung to discuss detailed plans for the development of engineering programmes at our three partner universities in Indonesia. They discussed ways of including more specific Humanitarian Engineering teaching into their programmes as well as looking at how teaching methods and curricula can be improved more generally, to produce well equipped engineering graduates. The universities made plans for summer school courses and initiating new programmes, as well as improvements to existing undergraduate and post-graduate programmes.
Interim Management Meeting 15th - 17th July
The meeting was held at the University of Warwick. Those partners based in Europe attended in person, and our Asian partners were able to join the meeting via Skype. At this meeting we discussed various important aspects of the project's management and made decisions that will impact on the research we carry out in the future.
Most significantly, we approved the design of our Engineering Education Survey, which is now available to take. We invite responses from anyone involved in engineering Higher Education, Quality Assurance or the engineering industry worldwide.
Interim Management Meeting 16-18 April 2019
The project interim management meeting took place on 16-18 April 2019, at the University of West Attica, in Athens, Greece.
University of Warwick team, Prof Georgia Kremmyda, Dr Volkan Degirmenci and Prof Toby Mottram travelled to Athens, Greece and joined the University of West Attica team. All other partners joined the meeting through teleconference. Deliverables, finance matters, planning of quantitative research, dissemination updates and upcoming events were discussed.
