Engineering academics secure impact funding for six projects
Warwick's fund was set up to increase the University's capacity and capability to deliver world-class, innovative Impact, the priority being for REF2020 Case Studies. The School of Engineering is delighted that six of its academics have been awarded funds to pursue projects in the fields of electrical power, reactions engineering, civil engineering, and biomedical engineering.
Dr Olayiwola Alatise: Power Electronic Converters for Electrical Grids in Low Energy Consuming Developing (LECD) Countries
Prof. Shanwen Tao: Microwave-assisted low temperature synthesis of ammonia
Prof. Ian Guymer: Improved Design of Vegetated Stormwater Management Ponds
Dr Mike Chappell: The Impact of IgG and IgA as Novel Biomarkers in the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma
Dr Leandro Pecchia: Influence European and WHO policies regarding methods and tools for the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) of Medical Devices, with a specific focus on low and middle income countries (LMIC).
Dr Isaac Liu: Integrating quantitative nanomechanical characterisation with molecular biology to facilitate high-throughput disease monitoring of breast cancer cells.
