New research paper sheds light on sperm navigation

Scientists at the Universities of Warwick and Birmingham  have shed new light on how sperm navigate the female reproductive tract, ‘crawling’ along the channel walls and swimming around corners; with frequent collisions.

School of Engineering part of Europe-wide sensor project

Prof. Julian Gardner, leader of the Electrical and Electronic Stream in the School of Engineering, is part of a European project developing sensors for harsh environments, which may be used in domestic boilers to lower energy usage, amongst other applications.
