Prof Rebrov coordinates a €1.68 m European Innovation Council (EIC) SME Stage 2 project

In June 2019, Stoli Catalysts has been awarded €1.2m grant in the framework of a €1.68 m European Innovation Council Horizon 2020 SME Stage 2 project to design, build and test a small-scale pilot plant to make medicines, vitamins and food supplements at much lower cost and more sustainably using its patented continuous flow catalytic reactor technology. Prof Evgeny Rebrov is coordinator of this innovative project.

The company has developed its technology to create catalyst-coated tubes for use in continuous flow reactors. The new project will enable the Fine Chemicals industry to convert their production lines from batch to continuous flow reactors, thereby dramatically cutting production costs. Stoli Catalysts’ patented technology uses 100 times less precious metals and enables potential production cost reductions of 20-80%.
