Recognition for ABSPIE Lab PhD student Katy Stokes from the 2021 ICEHTM Congress

Great success for the ABSPIE Lab at the yearly International Clinical Engineering and Health Technology Management Congress, PhD student Katy Stokes was awarded the student paper award in the category of Digital Health. Katy presented a feasibility study of designing a machine learning model to detect pneumonia using patient signs and symptoms, suitable for integration with apps and wearable sensors. The awards are selected based on the quality, originality and innovation, and applicability to healthcare by the global scientific society of biomedical and clinical engineering (the IFMBE). Read the full paper here:
