Molecular Communications old

Article in Engineering Research News

Dr M S Leeson spent the academic year 2010/11 as a Royal Academy of Engineering/Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellow.

He surveyed the existing literature and considered the relevant models for analysing this emerging communication system. One realisation uses molecular diffusion (shown below in principle) and results in a binomial process at the receiver. In the ComNet lab we are currently implementing programs that will form the basis for modelling point to point communications employing efficient simulation and analytical techniques that have not been utilised in this field previously.
