Field Trips
Field Trips
Field trips are an integral part of learning in the School of Life Sciences, giving students the opportunity to apply theory in real-world environments and gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom.
A range of field courses are offered across selected modules; however, it is important to note that field trips are not guaranteed and are subject to availability and module requirements.
Undergraduate field trips may include:
-
Dale Fort, Pembrokeshire– an annual residential field trip for module LF265
-
Bordeaux, France– an overseas field trip offered in alternate years for module LF312
-
River laboratory (Wellesbourne Campus)– a local field visit in Term 1 for module BS354
Postgraduate taught field trips may include:
-
Hook Norton Brewery, typically held in early November for moduleBS935
-
Wellesbourne Campus to explore Warwick Agri-Tech, usually mid to late November for module HR901
-
FarmEDday visit in early February, focusing on regenerative farming and sustainable land-use models for module HR922
Field trips vary each year depending on teaching requirements and external factors, but they remain a valued and enriching element of Life Sciences education at Warwick.
