Our next Open Day will take place on 22 November 2017. The programme has not yet been finalised but a provisional programme is below.
Open Days are intended for final-year undergraduate students who are interested in funded PhD research in the Mathematical Sciences. Anyone wishing to visit the department will be very welcome by prior arrangement.
Normally, Open Days consist of talks from Warwick academics and current students, and an opportunity to interact with a wide range of researchers.
1130 onwards Registration (Mathematics common Room, first floor, Zeeman Building)
1200 Research Talks
1300 Lunch with an opportunity to chat to academic staff
1330 Presentation by the MASDOC Director of Studies
1345 Presentation by the Mathematics Director of Graduate Studies
1445 onwards, tea and informal chat with MASDOC students and staff, as well as individual informal information sessions.
Anyone wishing to attend the open day should register their attendance. Reasonable UK travel expenses for participants (for example, UK standard class rail with receipts) will be reimbursed. The event will take place in the Zeeman building, which houses both the Mathematics Institute and the Department of Statistics.
