WMS hosts collaborative event on palliative care

Collaborating with our NHS partners, building relationships and providing opportunities for discussion and networking

Event outcomes:

* Bringing together WMS staff, students and healthcare professionals from across the Warwickshire and Coventry area.

* Exploring palliative care from different perspectives and hearing from a range of different service providers.

* Great opportunity to share, learn and network across the Cov & Warwickshire palliative care system.

*Many different exhibitors/stands for delegates to visit/brows during breaks .

Getting it right when it matters most...
...how we can best support the palliative care needs of our patients

Collaborative event hosted by WMS - 21/03/24

The full event programme can be viewed here and a list of exhibitors can be found here. There were a 150 attendees at the event and feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive.

Key messages from the day:

The importance of getting to know our patients as individuals/real people and what matters most to them, more days like this please, possible future topics to include dementia care & support /Parkinsons & neurological conditions, support from the Warwick Medical School made the event achievable.
