Healthwatch Insights Webinar: What does Healthwatch do and how can it support health research?

This virtual webinar, hosted by the Unit of Academic Primary Care, will enable staff from across Warwick Medical School to learn about Healthwatch, the national independent consumer champion for health and social care. Healthwatch Warwickshire work across the county and pride themselves on capturing the patient and public voice, particularly from seldom heard groups.

The webinar will cover the role and purpose of local Healthwatch, the scope of the organisation, recent work and links with the community and partners. It will be delivered by local staff members from Healthwatch and will include time for questions.

The webinar will be chaired by Professor Jeremy Dale, Head of Academic Primary Care, Warwick Medical School.

Poonam Thompson, Isobel Jonas, Robyn Dorling (Engagement and Outreach Officers, Healthwatch Warwickshire)

This event will be of interest to researchers thinking about public engagement as well as anyone who wishes to know more about the position of Healthwatch and how they work in the local community.
