Academic Primary Care

Jeremy DaleJeremy Dale

Head of Academic Primary Care

Primary care research and teaching is focused within the Unit of Academic Primary Care. The Unit has a multidisciplinary team of primary care researchers with clinical, social science and behavioural science backgrounds who apply a range of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Researchers work together with a large team of clinical teachers. The Unit works closely with individuals and teams across WMS that have an interest in primary care education and research, and in particular with the Clinical Trials Unit where many large primary care trials are based. You can see our Unit Strategy document here.

Assistant Professor Helen Atherton tells us about her research into how digital technology could improve the patient experience.
