Years 2 and 3
In years 2 and 3, your course will make extensive use of existing, highly successful modules within our sister School, the School of Life Sciences. To do this, your cohort will largely merge with a much larger cohort of SLS students for classes, alongside an ongoing programme of WMS integrated science labs and tutorials that aims further to develop your integrated science skills.
Year 2 modules
Core modules typically include:
- Molecular Cell Biology (18 CATs)
This module is the essential foundation module for most other modules taught in this Department, where the degrees are strongly oriented towards the molecular and cellular aspects of biology. It also provides a basic introduction to whole organism and develpmental biology, within the context of evolution.
