My undergraduate degree at Warwick gave me the opportunity to sample a wide range of topics across Physics whilst being able to tailor my module choices to suit my personal interests. The opportunity to participate in a summer research programme (URSS) confirmed that I wanted to continue to be involved with research, which I did during a PhD at Warwick. There is so much exciting research being done by the academics in the Physics departments that there was lots of groups to choose from when it came to picking a research topic. After graduating with my PhD I decided to pursue a career in scientific publishing and my qualifications from Warwick opened the doors needed for me to get the role I wanted. The breadth of physics that I have learnt is really important for my role as well as the experience with scientific writing obtained through many hours in the undergraduate lab. Ultimately my time at Warwick fuelled my passion for physics and gave me the skills needed to build an exciting career.
