75th Diamond Conference

The 75th UK Diamond Research Conference was held at the University of Warwick from 7th to 10th July 2025, bringing together over 120 delegates from academia and industry to explore the latest advancements in diamond science and technology.

The programme featured 32 oral presentations and 38 posters, covering a wide range of topics including CVD diamond growth, natural diamond geology, diamond spectroscopy and defects, surface science, devices and processing, and applications harnessing diamond’s remarkable quantum, electronic, optoelectronic, mechanical, thermal, and electrochemical properties.

The conference uniquely bridged disciplines—from fundamental research to commercial innovation—with highlights including keynote sessions from leading researchers and an engaging conference dinner featuring speeches by Paul Rowley (Executive Vice President, Diamond Trading, De Beers) and Siobhán Duffy (CEO, Element Six).

This milestone event not only celebrated the diversity and depth of diamond research but also fostered new collaborations and inspired future directions in diamond science and technology.
