Innovate UK - Emerging and enabling technologies competition – round 3
Innovate UK invites applications for its emerging and enabling technologies competition – round 3. This supports innovation projects that inspire new products and services and. The aim is to help UK businesses broaden their innovation activities, disrupt existing markets and find new revenue sources. Projects must show innovation in one of the following priority areas:
•emerging technologies;
•digital;
•enabling capabilities;
•space applications.
UK-based businesses, academic or research and technology organisations may apply, and the project work must be carried out in UK. All projects must involve an SME and projects worth less than £100,000 must be led by an SME.
The total budget is worth up to £25 million. Grants cover 70 per cent of project costs for projects costing between £35,000 and £2m each for three months to three years. The total budget will be divided so that £5m is available to projects with eligible costs of up to £100,000 lasting between 3 months and one year, £10m is available to projects with eligible costs of up £2m and £10m is available to Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

Due to the implementation of a new UKRI funding system (TFS) there will be a fixed quarterly deadlines for some grants which would previously have been on open calls, this is to allow necessary system amendments and updates.
The first deadline after implementation will be 28th September 2023 and applies to those calls listed below:
