Higgs Business Incubation Centre – call for proposals

Export as iCalendar

The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its Higgs Business Incubation Centre call for proposals. This supports projects and ideas for business incubation in the Higgs BIC for one to two years. The aim is to enable entrepreneurs to receive comprehensive commercial and technical assistance in order to set up or grow their business using technology for industrial, scientific and commercial uses. The programme provides a package of incentive funding to be used to accelerate product development for R&D, prototyping, intellectual property protection, market research, third‐party consultancy plus business support, access to networking events, and technical support from STFC. UK-registered start-ups and early‐stage SMEs less than five years old which are independent may apply. They may be in the fields of space, big-data, data analytics, particle physics, or any other STFC discipline. Product development grants are worth up to £43,103 each. Funding may be used to develop prototypes, software and intellectual property rights.
