Makoto Sasaki (Nihon University): Data-driven modal analysis of nonlinear plasma turbulence
Abstract: Data-driven modal analysis technique for plasma turbulence is presented. In magnetically confined plasmas, the transport properties are determined by the structure formations due to the nonlinearities. In this talk, we introduce a method using the singular value decomposition (SVD) to analyse the dynamical energy transfer among structures and particle transport including its abruptness.
Tatsuya Kobayashi (National Institute for Fusion Science): Title: Phase-space tomography as a tool for high-resolution phase-space measurement
Short Abstract: It is extremely challenging to obtain experimental data simultaneously resolved in velocity-space, real-space, and time. This is because there is a tradeoff relation among signal intensity on one detector pixel and resolutions. For reconciling this tradeoff, a new analysis concept, the phase-space tomography, is proposed. By combining data having different integration dimensions in velocity-space, real-space, and time, phase-space resolved data are attempted to be reconstructed.
