Distinguished international associates programme
The Royal Academy of Engineering invites applications for its distinguished international associates programme. This enables senior alumni of the academy’s international programmes to act as role models, bringing their learning from the academy schemes to inspire and inform others through networking events, webinars, meet-ups and workshops. The programme aims to develop a broad international community or network of excellent diverse engineers across countries and disciplines, with research and innovation links to the UK, to work alongside the academy to enhance progress towards achieving its goals for an inclusive economy and sustainable society. All lead applicants must have an existing relationship with the Royal Academy of Engineering as a current or previous international grant award holder. Associates may be based anywhere in the world. They should be affiliated with an organisation, institution or university that can help administer the funding. The proposed activities must be designed to enable collaboration between researchers, innovators and practitioners. Events must not be closed and exclusive to a specific, invite-only group. Individuals are limited to one application. Awardees will receive funding of £10,000 for up to 12 months.
