The Royal Society invites nominations for its Armourers and Brasiers’ company prize. This recongnises pioneering and innovating materials science research with potential for application. Citizens of Commonwealth countries or the Republic of Ireland, or those who have been ordinarily resident and working in one of those countries for a minimum of three years, may be nominated. Self-nominations are not accepted. Applicants should be at mid- or senior-career stages. The prize is worth £2,000.
