Full text:  The Royal Academy of Engineering invites applications for its visiting professors initiative. This enables UK universities to host visiting professors from engineering disciplines in order to enhance student learning, as well as the employability and skills of UK engineering graduates. The intention of the scheme is for experienced industrial engineers and entrepreneurs to participate for example in curriculum development, face-to-face teaching or mentoring of engineering undergraduates, or the development of innovative approaches to engineering teaching and learning, such as flipped-classroom or problem-based learning and team working. UK universities may apply. Applications must be made jointly by the host university and the visiting professor. Awards are worth up to £10,000 each per year for three years to support the attendance of a visiting professor for at least 12 days a year.
