As the Physics Department has been experiencing significant growth in recent years, with an expanding programme of research personnel along with an increase in technical expertise and hardware capabilities, it has been a challenge for the staff and students to have an overview of the department’s capability. Therefore, we think it is timely to hold a Physic Day to address this challenge.

For this purpose, we cordially invite all PIs from the CMP and theory sections to present a brief overview of their research, equipment capabilities, and the areas in which they are open for collaboration. While the presentations will be delivered by the PIs, all members of these sections (including technical staff!) are warmly invited and encouraged to attend, as we hope this is will be an ideal environment to foster and build internal collaborations, and promote the exchange of ideas and skills.

Details

Catering: Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided

Presentation style: ~10+5 min presentation, on the fly with only a whiteboard, but those who prefer slides can use them.
