Postdocs and PhD students Research Culture Tea

Venue: B2.04/05 Science Concourse, Date: Tuesday 21st February 2023, Time: 15:00-16:00


 

An informal social gathering for promoting research culture. Postdocs and PhD students specially from underrepresented social groups who are passionate about social mobility, diversity and equality are invited for an afternoon tea and coffee to chat about their research. The research culture programme in physics are looking for 12 volunteers to showcase their research, each recording a two minute video directed and edited professionally by an external production company to combine into a short film. These videos will be used by the department and university to publicise physics research. There will be a short talk by Professor David Leadley, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, with responsibilities for research infrastructure, ethics and governance and a member of University Research Culture Forum.
