‘Risk’ prize recognises research by University of Warwick physics Professor into economic damages of climate change

Research that shed light on the economic impacts of climate change that was co-authored by University of Warwick physicists has been awarded a 2021 Lloyd’s Science of Risk prize in the Climate Change category.

Data Science for Social Good Programme helps Ofsted and World Bank

Data Science for Social Good (DSSGxUK) is a summer programme that has been hosted by the University of Warwick and The Alan Turing Institute for the last two years, and will this summer, 2021, be delivered by University of Warwick in collaboration with Ludwig Maximillian University (Munich) under the DSSGx UK chapter of the DSSG Foundation.


Warwick researchers to explore the Milky Way & famous maths problem thanks to major European grant award

The ERC today, the 9th December, announced the winners of its latest Consolidator Grant competition for mid-career researchers. The funding is part of the EU’s current research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020, and worth in total €655 million. With this support, the new grantees will be able to consolidate their teams and have far-reaching impact. The two Warwick academics who have received the award are Professor David Loeffler, from the Mathematics Institute, and Dr Pier-Emmanuel Tremblay from the Department of Physics.
