Safety

  • It is a condition of use of the UK 850 MHz solid-state NMR facility that a sample safety information form (and a COSHH form if one is available) for all samples being brought into the laboratory must be submitted (by email to the facility manager d dot iuga at warwick dot ac dot uk) at least one week before the allocated experimental time. You are also required to bring paper copies of the completed sample safety information forms with you.

  • In advance of the first visit to the facility, users must carefully read the safety documents.

  • For each visit to the facility, users must also bring a signed copy of the safety declaration form.

  • More Health and Safety information can be obtained from the University’s “Safety in the University” documentation (SITU), http://www.warwick.ac.uk/services/safety-office/wwwpage.htm.

Bruker TOPSPIN software

  • In case you do not have access to Bruker TOPSPIN 2 processing software in your department, you can request (by email to the facility manager) a single software licence, such that you can process data obtained at the facility.  TOPSPIN licenses can only be issued for Windows and Linux platforms.  The licenses are issued on USB keys with a unique address, or (because USB key licenses may not work well on Linux) there is a second option that the license are issued to a Ethernet card number for the computer on which TOPSPIN will be installed.
