Non-ambient irradiation of two candidate radiation-dense materials
This poster represents the first study of proton and and gamma irradiation of the candidate radiation dense materials FeCr-WC and reactive sintered borides (RSBs).
This work used EBSD to investigate radiation-induced strain which extended hundred of microns away from incident face of the samples and observed to be highly temperature dependant.
Some evidence of limited annealing during irradiation at 550oC (823 K) was observed from the high temperature proton irradiated FeCr-WC sample
