This project studies the theory of very fast transient over-voltages (VFTO) in gas insulated metal-closed switchgear (GIS), and simulates the distribution of electric field in GIS with COMSOL Multiphysics.

My present research interests for PhD involve THz data fitting & classification for skin application and THz characterization of thin-film aqueous solutions.
Before PhD, I did a small research using GA technique to optimize THz data fitting process, and I will do further research on THz data classification for skin detection purpose.
During my 1st year PhD, I have done some research using microchannel device to measure thin-film water, and using multilayer structure to enhance THz characterization of thin-film glucose solutions with different concentrations.
