Mika Vesterinen

I am interested in using data from the LHCb experiment at CERN to understand quark flavour and electroweak symmetry breaking. I study the latter by trying to measure the mass of the W boson.

I am the PI of the ERC CsG project SPEAR (Standard model Precision Electroweak measurements at Acute Rapidities).

I am supported by an STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowship ST/N004892/2. See my featured fellows article on the STFC website.

I currently organise weekly EPP seminars on Thursday afternoon at 16:00 during term time.

My Ph.D thesis was on the analysis of data from the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton collider.
